Our current show cats are
CHAMPION TALLICA CATALUNYA
Lola is my beautiful homebred girl from Suzie and Max. She was born 1st July 2010 and went to her first adult show on 9th April 2011 aged 9mths and 8 days. I am thrilled to say she won her open class and gained her 1st CC – Thank you to Sandra Devereux for this award.
TONKINESE ADULT – FEMALE
1CC BOB HUNTER’S TALLICA CATALUNYA (74a). Elegant young girl, muscular and heavy body, proportionate limbs, balancing tail with very slight invisible bony excrescence to the tip. Medium wedge, slight dip to profile, slight whisker break, level chin of reasonable depth, correct bite. Very expressive blue green eyes, medium sized ears, well set when relaxed. Super coat for length and texture, pale blue body, slightly darker blue points. Very sweet natured.
2 HUNTER’S TAMTONKS CATKINPATCH (74g). Well muscled girl, shapely body and limbs, tail balances. Medium length wedge,( a touch wider than the winner’s), desired whisker break, slight dip to profile, slightly shallow chin, recedes a touch, bite correct. Very pale blue green eyes of good shape and set. Medium sized, well set ears. Short, fine coat, of mingled creams and blues, very slightly paler to body than points. Seen as a whole, for me her head was a touch small to balance her body, sure it will catch up in the next few months. Very busy by nature, hardly ever still whilst out on the table.
Her 2nd and 3rd shows were the Bedford and Cambridge Cat shows which were both held at Woodgreen Animal Shelter on 23rd April 2011. She was awarded her 2nd CC from Mr Morris from the Bedford show but unfortunatley Mrs Gregory who judged her for the Cambridge show did not feel she was worthy of it so withheld her CC. Thank you for your reports.
TONKINESE ADULT
BOB MACEY’S CHAMPION FECHELDEE DAISIMAY, 74P, F, 1.12.2006
A beautiful female of excellent type, colour and a true Tonkinese expression.
1 (CC/WH) HUNTER’S TALLICA CATALUNYA, 74A, F, 1.7.2010
A young female with a lovely muscular feel to her; from the front her head was a little too long for the breadth although this could be addressed as she matures. The muzzle was rather pointed but she did have the required whisker pinch. Her ears were of medium size and set well. Her eyes were large and expressive but they appeared very blue rather than bluish-green. Her profile was virtually straight but her chin was of reasonable depth. She had a medium body with slender legs and a tapering tail. Her coat was moderately short, glossy and close-lying. The colour was very good with a subtle merging of the blue. I felt she needed more time to see if her head develops as, at the moment, it forms an isosceles rather than an equilateral triangle. She was beautifully shown in excellent condition and had a sweet temperament. Such a pity she was penned next to such a good example of the breed.
TONKINESE ADULT OPEN CLASS
BOB AWARDED TO MACEY’S CH FECHELDEE DAISYMAY 74p 01.12.2006.
A beautiful caramel tortie lady of style and beauty of very good type with lovely aquamarine eyes and coat of quality.
1CC HUNTER’S TALLICA CATALUNYA 74A F 01.07.2010.
more width for balance. Ears of good size and set well. Profile shows a dip and she has a whisker pinch chin firm with level bite. Eyes of good shape of an almost blue colour one has to search for the slight hint of green. Elegant neck carried on a firm body with elegant legs and feet she has a tapering tail of good length. Short close coat of good texture of a good blue tone gradually merging along her back. Very good temperament condition and well presented.
She was next at the Suffolk and Norfolk show on 21st May 2011 where I am so proud to say she was made up to Champion by Mrs Green when she was awarded her 3rd CC.
TONKINESE ADULT: FEMALE
1 CC BOB HUNTER TALLICA CATALUNYA
Elegant young lady of very nice type and balance. Firm and muscular, well proportioned tail and limbs, neat paws. Lovely short satiny coat lies close and has lustrous sheen; bluish-grey with subtle merging of colour to points. Moderate head gently contoured, ears well set, slight nose break and whisker pinch. Large expressive eyes are greenish blue. A stylish girl.
Thank you to all her judges for giving me my 1st Champion
TAMTONKS CATKINPATCH
Minnie is my beautiful blue tortie girl whom was entrusted to me by Christine Tamlin – thank you so much.
Minnie has had good success on the show bench too gaining her 1st 2 CC’s in her first 2 shows, in her 3rd show I entered her in against Lola just to see what would happen and unfortunately Minnie was robbed of her 3rd CC by Lola!! But a lovely moment for me too.
Minnie is off the show bench at the moment as she is due her first litter around 21st June but she will be back to try for her 3rd CC once she is back in shape after her babies
Coventry & Leicester Show 26th Feb 2011
Thank you to Mrs S Rose for the write up on Minnie and for her 1st CC at the age of 9mths and 6 days

Round tips to the wide based ears, equally balanced between top and sides of head, placed wide apart to continue the outer lines of the face, tilting forward. Large, well opened, almond shaped eyes with a slight slant, showing a mid bluey-green colour. In profile a modest dip in the nose, chin of fair strength. Lovely muscular feel to the well grown, medium sized body of correct weight for her size and age. TALLICA KNIGHT AND DAY
Kaydee is my lovely little brown boy again from Suzie and Max whom I just couldnt be parted with. He is an adoreable little boy and hopefully he will prove to be as good as we think.
Kaydee had his first trip out at the tender age of 15 weeks to the Suffolk and Norfolk show at Woodgreen on 21st May 2011
He was awarded 1st & BOB by John Hannson and placed well in his side classes too.
Thank you to John Hannson for this write up
AC Tonkinese Kitten;
1st & BOB HUNTER’S TALLICA KNIGHT AND DAY. 74. 02-02-11. this lad had impressive type for such a youngster, moderate wedge, marginally long, some whisker pinch, brow rounds slightly, slight break, chin needs a little more depth, bite good. Ears taller than wide, with slightly angular setting, oval on the tips. Eyes of fuller wide almond shape, touch of slant, very good blue toned green colour. Body very much a baby, slender limbs, neat paws, tapering medium length. Excellent coat, short & close despite the baby wispiness. As yet he has more contrast than I would ideally like to see with much darker points but the body does have warm brown present, so will hopefully colour up as he matures to create the required gentle merge. His condition was excellent, quite a confident little chap.
Well Kaydee did me proud again and had a fabulous day at the London Cat Club show – he had a red card day, my first ever, so such a proud moment for me
)) I will put up his reports when they are available.
Thank you so much to his judges.

A super young brown Tonkinese boy displaying an excellent balanced look. A glossy brown, slightly fluffy kitten coat that shows the subtle merging of the coat pattern well. Nicely rounded top of head with good width between his medium ears. A modified wedge that led to a muzzle that is neither pointed nor square. Alert blue green eyes, more almond shaped than round. A good profile with a slight nose break leading to a level bite and firm chin. A medium, well muscled body with slender legs and neat oval feet. A very promising young man.

A.V. Foreign Maiden Kitten – Judge Mr S Parkin
1st Hunter’s TALLICA KNIGHT AND DAY, Male Brown Tonkinese, 2.2.11.
Very well developed type for a young kitten, Body, still kittenish, has a firm feel to it. Legs in proportion with neat oval paws. Tail balances the body for length with a gentle taper. Head shows a moderate wedge slightly rounded at present. Gently rounded muzzle, firm chin and an even bite. Whisker pinch developing. Medium ears, wide at the base, well set. Eyes a rounded almond in shape, currently in transition, a greenish-hazel shading to mid blue at present, set at a slight angle. Very pleasing feel to the coat short and fine with a silky texture well developed. Points a rather warm chocolate brown, body evenly shaded. A real time waster who was keen to demand attention, handled well.
I took Kaydee to the Ragtime TICA cat show on 25th & 26Th June and we had a wonderful time. I am very proud to say that he finalled in 3 rings gaining 10th best all breed kitten in all 3 rings, a great achievement for a tonkinese kitten.
Sorry I havent updated this page for a while but things have been a bit busy.
We have been to a few more shows and had some fab results in them again
Kaydee has been doing well and placing 1st in his opens and good side class placings too.
